Three families of domain endings

.tz country domains

Run by TCRA / tzNIC (.tz registry). They tell visitors you serve Tanzania, and some zones inside .tz ask for proof of eligibility.

Generic domains

Endings such as .com, .org and .shop describe what you do rather than where you are. Most are open to anyone.

Location domains

.africa ties your brand to the continent. Use it alongside .co.tz if you work across borders.
